The franchise fee for an AirMD franchise license ranges from $35,000.00 – $45,000.00, with an additional $17,275.00 – $29,275.00 for initial operating expenses, equipment and licensing.

In exchange for the right to use our AirMD name, trademarks, logos and other commercial symbols, as well as our franchise system, franchisees pay a royalty fee of 4% gross sales.

Each franchise location is different. Operations and profitability will depend on a number of factors including costs of development, franchisee marketing efforts, operating costs and efficiencies, performance of your personnel, market conditions and other factors beyond our control.

The short answer is yes, franchisees do have flexibility to sell their existing license to new franchisees, subject to terms and conditions in our franchise agreements. All franchise locations are independently owned and operated so we may not be aware of all locations that may be available.

Currently there is no national advertising fund, but should one be developed the franchisee will be required to contribute a monthly fee of $250.00 to our marketing fund(s). Franchisees are required to spend a minimum of $400 per month in local marketing and SEO for the franchised business. However, in order to preserve our brand integrity, all AirMD franchise marketing and promotional materials are subject to our review and approval.

As the franchisor, we tend to refer to ourselves as “AirMD Corporate”. However, your location will be an individually owned and operated business, operating under your own franchise structure with assistance from AirMD Corporate for scheduling, report writing, technical science, customer service, invoicing and accounts receivable. We do take a number of steps to protect the AirMD name and brand, and require our franchisees to operate in accordance with brand specifications and requirements to ensure brand integrity for each AirMD location.

We offer a variety of tools and training to support our franchisees, including franchise classroom and field training at our corporate headquarters, and ongoing support from AirMD corporate.

Our Franchise Development team will also conduct webinars and publish training and support videos for our system-wide programs that cover essentially every aspect of these programs.

The Franchisor will maintain a call center to receive inquires from customers, and will set appointments for the franchisee, in addition to any appointments the franchisee may schedule on their own.

We also make available a franchisee support team at our corporate offices that are available during normal local business (EST) hours to answer questions and provide additional support.

We provide marketing guidelines and templates that can be easily customized with local information. We also engage various media agencies who assist in designing local, regional and national marketing plans that strive to ensure brand integrity at every level. Outside agencies are available at franchisee expense to provide additional marketing materials, all of which are to be approved by AirMD Corporate.

No, the AirMD personnel have a wide range of experience in the scientific and engineering fields. Our staff of professional scientists and engineers have backgrounds in bacteriology, mycology, aerobiology, microscopy, environmental science and toxicology and will train AirMD franchisees in required disciplines for their day to day operations.

To stay ahead of the curve, our scientists and engineers receive on-going training and the required education on the latest technology, procedures, industry advancements and developments.

AirMD franchisee can expect to be open and operating within 6 months after the franchise agreement has been executed. However, the time line will vary for some franchisees.

After the franchise agreement is executed, the franchisee must become a Licensed Lead Inspector and a Licensed Asbestos Inspector. Licensing requirements vary state-to-state. AirMD does not license franchisees. Third-party coursework is offered by various organizations throughout the U.S.

After 6 months of experience in the field of indoor environmental investigation, franchisees are required to apply for the Council-certified Residential Indoor Environmentalist (CRIE).

Individuals are eligible for the CRIE certification who can attest to their employment in the field of indoor environmental investigation.
