Wellness

Advanced Wellness is a comprehensive whole house or office test that assesses the overall condition of your indoor environment including air quality.

We spend the majority of our time either at home or work. Most people do not realize there are no governmental standards for acceptable levels of pollution in our homes or offices. AirMD’s indoor air quality testing provides the information which allows us to make better choices and live healthier.

Everyday activities from cleaning, using appliances or operating air conditioning systems can produce chemicals, particles, contaminants and radiation that can affect your health. Understanding the environmental condition of your home or office will help you reduce contaminants providing a healthier indoor environment.

An AirMD analyst will visit your home or office with scientific equipment and inspect, measure and assess for the following conditions:

Odor assessment – detect odors that relate to chemical or biological agents using odor detection instrumentation. Odors are often indicators of mold, bacteria or chemical presence indoors.

Visual assessment – to detect conditions that can contribute to indoor pollution including improper air filtration, sources of airborne particles and other contaminants that can affect the living environment.

Moisture measurements – to assess whether moisture is present in building materials which provide favorable conditions for mold and allergens.

Environmental assessment – to assess whether conditions exist that are favorable for mold and allergens including temperature and humidity.

Airborne particles – to measure small microscopic particle contaminants present in the air that we breathe.

Volatile organic chemicals (VOC’s) – chemical testing to detect VOC’s from cleaning products, paint, carpeting, furniture or household materials.

Microbial volatile organic chemicals (MVOC’s) – testing to detect chemicals produced by mold.

Electromagnetic radiation (EMR) – to detect radiation emitted by microwaves, TVs, computers, and other electronic devices.

Upon completion of the testing, the information collected is reviewed by our scientists at AirMD. An AirMD written report is sent within seven business days, including recommendations to improve indoor environmental quality. To ask an AirMD scientist a question about this service please Click Here
